Supported Accommodation
Supported Accommodation may be an option for you if you are homeless and have extra needs, such as a physical or mental illness.
This type of accommodation offers attached support which is tailored to individual need - support typically lasts for 6-12 months, although can be extended if needed.
The individual will typically move on into independent accommodation once they achieved their support goals.
Some supported accommodation providers require the referral to be made by a relevant professional

Contact to the Council & Referral into Support Accommodation
Most referrals will be made by the Council’s Housing Options Team at the Burton Customer Service Centre in Market Place, Burton. Everyone contacting the council for help and advice will receive support. This might include signposting, assessment, referral or all three. Which service is most suitable and availability will necessarily be dependent on individual circumstances.
The Rough Sleepers Outreach Service, Prison Resettlement Teams and others may also refer into supported accommodation.
There are a number of providers within the locality; including: Nacro, CommLyncx, Derventio Housing, Empire of God Ministries, Girica, My Space Housing Solutions, Prospect Housing and Rethink.
