A new Partnership organisation set up to help rough sleepers will be running a street stall in Burton to spread information about how rough sleepers can get help. Representatives from organisations focused on homelessness – Nacro, Derventio, Burton YMCA, Burton HOPE, Empire of God, Trent and Dove and many others – who between them offer a range of services including housing, food and health support, will be in Market Place on Wednesday to give out information about the Partnership and to highlight all the help that rough sleepers can receive from existing services.
The stall, in Burton’s Market Place, will be giving out details of all the organisations that currently help rough sleepers in the town.
There are many services in East Staffordshire which are already dedicated to improving the lives of rough sleepers – but they can be made even more effective by ensuring that people who want to help can quickly see what range of services there are and what help is already available to rough sleepers in the town. Burton and East Staffordshire Homelessness Partnership is made of charities and housing groups dedicated to improving the lives of people who have been unfortunate enough to lose accommodation and have been unsuccessful so far in finding somewhere new to live.
The stall will be in Station Street, Burton this Friday, December 20th, 2019 promoting services for Rough Sleepers
